Second night at Casa de los Amigos

Folks,
We all arrive safely with our bags. Went to fonart and bought some crafts, on to Bellas Artes Museum to see Siquiero, Orozco and Rivera murals . Then lunch at the Sanborn restaurant in the House of Tiles. Then we went to the Inturbide Gallery to see Nieto paintings and a reconstruction of a bedroom from the time the gallery was a palace. Went from there to National Palace for more Rivero murals. The Templo Mayor site and museum was a wonderful walk through Aztec religious history in seven ages. We then watched indigenous dancers do some wonderful badger stomp.¨(They had stuffed badger heads on their heads.) We topped off the day in the National Cathedral where several simulataneous services were underway. Then back to the Casa for a potluck. Our contribution was pavo with mole. Several of us are addicted to Magnum ice cream bars already. Lenore was the pusher. More later...
Rich Williams and the crew!
